Upgrade Your Knowledge and Skills

FEN-BC is currently offering the following journeyperson upgrading opportunities:

  • Supervisors Safety Training
    Wednesday October 15, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
    This session is designed to help provide the tools and confidence supervisors need to carry out their safety role. The session covers the fundamentals every supervisor needs to know in order to provide a safe working environment and meet their legal requirements.

     
  • Site Surveying for Glaziers
    Thursday October 16, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
    This session is designed to help provide the tools and confidence supervisors need to carry out their safety role. The session covers the fundamentals every supervisor needs to know in order to provide a safe working environment and meet their legal requirements.

     
  • Construction Estimating
    Monday December 1, 2014 to Tuesday December 2, 2014 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
    Participants will learn skills and knowledge to estimate construction projects and prepare a successful bid.

     
  • Blueprint Reading
    Thursday December 3, 2014 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
    Participants will learn how to read a set of construction blueprints and specifications. Using both residential and commercial samples of blueprints, participants will gain experience and practical knowledge for their day-to-day work in construction companies

     
  • Hazard Recognition and Control
    Thursday December 4, 2014 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
    This session is designed to provide participants the required knowledge to understand the principle of hazard recognition and control as well as the methods used to ensure hazards are identified and adequately addressed in the workplace.
